In this role you will function as a VP, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for Global Private Bank Operations & Client Service Technology.
Responsibilities * Design, code, configure, tune and implement multi-tier Cloud and on premise observability and monitoring solutions * Define and implement full plant monitoring patterns including business and technical SLI, SLO, SLAs * Design, Code, Test and Deliver software to automate manual operational work * Active participation in an agile development process, including working closely with the business * Close engagement with Architects and Design Authorities across multiple areas * Participate in Development Modernization and adoption of emerging/modern technologies * Align with the security standards and guidelines to ensure systems are secure and protected
Qualifications and Capabilities * BS/BA in Computer Science or Information System or equivalent degree * 8+ years' experience in software development of Java/J2EE applications * Knowledge of SRE/DevOps practices and tools * Strong analytical and communication skills * Creative problem solver and solutions developer with a strong sense of ownership * Knowledge of architecture and design across all systems * Proficiency in modern programming languages * Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Preferred Technical Knowledge: * Experience with + o Java (Core & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud) o SCM / DevOps / CI/CD tools & process (GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar) o Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell o IaaC - Terraform, Cloud Formation o Agile Methodology and Tools (JIRA) o RDBMS systems and SQL (Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, PostGres)
* Cloud and on premise SRE Observability and Monitoring services and machine data technologies (Ex. Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk, ITRS Geneos) * Knowledge of Microservices & Multi-tier Architectures * Event processing and Messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ * Caching solutions such as Hazelcast, EhCache, Redis * Search Technologies such as Elastic * Cloud deployments (Private / Public - AWS) * Container/Orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Skaffold, Kaniko)
