As a passionate UI developer with a flair for design you will be comfortable with all stages of UI development process, from working with stakeholders, delivering solutions to meet their needs & engaging with product teams to realise product vision.

You will be skilled in translating UI design into intuitive, performant and high quality user interfaces.

You will be working in the Solar Core team based in Glasgow and will be involved in developing a strategic stack to enable the delivery of innovative UI solutions for our stakeholders.

As part of the team you will be responsible for developing the core platform as well as collaborating closely with our product group and stakeholders to deliver features that align with organizational strategy and improve business processes.

The team operate as a self-organizing group leveraging Agile practices with a focus on continuous improvement.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

A proven track record in hands on delivery of high quality software, ideally in an Agile environment * Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals to accomplish common goals * Experience of developing UI components, preference for experience using React js & Redux. * Good understanding of HTML & CSS * Exposure to Node JS * Exposure to development of Java web services in support of UI features * Working knowledge of Java 8 with an emphasis on writing high quality, clean code. * Working knowledge of Spring Boot * Exposure to any pub/sub messaging technologies (Kafka etc.) * Exposure to cloud concepts * Experience in digesting and understanding user requirements and designing new modules/features to meet those needs * Working proficiency in developmental toolsets and frameworks
