As part of our expansion, we are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our Data Analytics team. Primary responsibilities will include working closely with fellow software developers and internal stakeholders to build client facing applications. The applications integrate Green Streets market views into our website to provide loan and portfolio analytics. The ideal candidate will have development experience in Python and SQL, excellent communication skills, and experience in financial analytics setting or strong interest in finance and data analytics. We are open to train the right candidate to develop full stack development career.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working in tandem with other developers and internal stakeholders, the Software Developer will design, develop, and deploy high quality, scalable software solutions in the Portfolio and Loan Analytics space
  • Employ a test-driven approach to model implementation, designing and developing repeatable unit tests alongside model changes
  • Work with Quantitative Analysts on initial model build and subsequent model enhancements
  • Interact with Web Development team on client facing application build and enhancements
  • Help design, architect, and maintain platform footprint in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong Python, NumPy and Pandas experience is a requirement
  • Experience with SQLAchemy or similar ORM frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, comfortable working with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience in modeling financial data or other complex multi-faceted datasets using relational data structures
  • Knowledge of message queueing concept and related technology
  • Experience with REST.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with in-memory data stores such as Redis / Memcached
  • Experience working with non-structured data and/or complex data modeling
  • Full stack experience with JavaScript technologies (ReactJS / VueJS / NodeJS)
  • Experience or strong interest in interactive design and data visualization

Hands on experience with a mainstream cloud provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure with exposure to their IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) offerings, specifically serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and integration technologies such as AWS SNS / SQS
