Were looking for Software Support Engineer who is passionate about to addressing technical issues relating to software implementation, functionality, and upgrades. This position will troubleshoot and implement temporary solutions for problems that are found.

The Software Support Engineer will also develop permanent solutions for recurring issues by building internal tools / websites to minimize issues. This position will also be considered a training / entry point into becoming a full-time developer with the EDGE10 Group; as opportunities open up for new development positions, this role will be perfectly positioned to fill those needs.

What you will do

Provide Technical Support to Software Users

  • Field calls from customers who are experiencing technical issues with software products.
  • Assist customers in troubleshooting problems, diagnose issues with software installation and application, identify sources of the problem and offer solutions.

Assist with Software Design and Development

Involved in the creation of new software and work closely with software engineers and development teams to identify and resolve potential issues in the development stage.

Analyze all aspects of the software and make suggestions throughout the development phase to help avoid issues in the final product.

Create Technical Documents and Manuals

Documenting issues and their solutions to help future efforts in the design and implementation of software products.

Generate technical reports focusing on customer complaints and resolutions.

Write up improve technical support tools and processes.

Design, implement software support tools from proof-of-concept to production-grade that meet product quality goals across a range of devices and use cases.

Nurture close working relationships with teams and individuals across engineering and product teams

Experience working in a fast-paced delivery focused environment.

You should have Experience with the technologies and tools we work with; this includes C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and the latest software development & testing technologies tools. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills Organizational and customer service skills. Attention to detail. The ability to work in teams, as well as independently. The ability to address customer concerns and issues regarding all aspects of software operation. Strong documentation skills especially around complaint reports and troubleshooting steps. Assist software developers to resolve technical issues during the software development process. Teach customers how to overcome challenges from a technical or business standpoint. Hands-on experience working with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server creating and working with database queries. Experience working in a fast-paced delivery focused environment.

Nice to have Experience with .NET Core development Strong and practical understanding of software design (methodologies, practices, and techniques) and development principles as well as best practices and standards for secure development Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms & ASP.NET MVC and migration to .NET Core Experience with LINQ JIRA, Zen Desk, Confluence experience Developing in public cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS or Google Cloud Good understanding of user interface design and implementation principles as well as best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility Knowledge with modern JavaScript frameworks / libraries such as React, TypeScript and Angular. Knowledge of authorization mechanisms, such as SAML and JSON Web Token (OAUTH2 & OIDC) Familiarity with continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines, end-to-end pipeline automation. Experience in agile working environments and scrum / lean work practices Experience in software development using multiple general-purpose programming languages, and testing tools. Experience in developing well-tested complex secure web applications that are highly useable, responsive, performant, secure and resilient.
