Do you consider yourself to be an email specialist, who knows SMTP inside and out, and enjoys implementing anti-abuse and email deliverability strategies? We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our Email Delivery Services team in IS&T. This team is responsible for the configuration, maintenance and security of our email services, as well as ensuring that the emails are delivered successfully in a timely fashion. You will be focussed on ensuring this critical platform is always available and be prepared to develop and improve existing internal applications developed in a variety of languages relating to both email and other critical collaboration services.The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated with a passion for excellence, quality and detail. The SRE will not only support operations, but also work closely with the other engineers within the team to aid in architectural design and assist with the implementation of complex features. Developing new and maintaining existing tools/applications used in the delivery of critical corporate-wide services will be a key responsibility. Documenting and continually improving the quality of our infrastructure, service and processes will be significant goals. Participation in on-call rotation will be required.
