Core & Hosting Infrastructure Platforms (CHIP), is focused on delivering modern, distributed Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) capabilities through our Integrated Compute Platform (ICP) and our tightly coupled foundational platforms to support the needs of business applications.

We provide core and hosting platforms for the JPMC multi-cloud architecture by delivering dynamic, software-defined, API-based, resilient, integrated and scalable core compute storage and network solutions.

This role must interface closely with GTI and LOB Application teams, SREs, Application Development/Performance Engineers/Database/Security/Storage/Networking/Operation Leads, Unix and Windows technologists outside of CHIP.

As a APM Synthetic Monitoring Lead, you'll help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to define Strategy, Engineering and Implementation of Application Performance Synthetic Monitoring. Much of our support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation. You'll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment, you'll take the lead on relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow.

The role encompasses the following key roles and responsibilities: * Engineering, Implementation, Installation, Integration, version upgrade and patch installation of ThousandEyes synthetic products which includes cloud agents, enterprise agents and endpoint agents * Triage of ThousandEyes events and metrics * Onboarding and setup of ThousandEyes synthetic tests either external or internal (web http server, page load, transaction tests, BGP, DNS, agent to server, server to server, Voice) * L2/L3 Support of the Synthetic platform and associated technologies * Solution and process documentation across the firm's Production environments * Oversight of all server hygiene, maintenance, critical patching, disaster recovery and business continuity validation and remediation * Contribution to the development and support of the firms Synthetic and APM platforms and all associated technologies

Qualifications: * Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience on both Unix (RHEL) and Windows Server Operating Systems engineering. Experience in large, complex environments a benefit * Fast learner * Experience on Synthetic products such as ThousandEyes, DynaTrace Synthetic, APICA are essential * Experience on Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as dynaTrace, CA Wily Introscope and appDynamics are essential * Experience on cloud technologies such as aws, azure, google cloud a plus * Experience on heterogeneous network environments and network protocols are essential * Unix Shell Scripting: bash, perl are essential * Development skills in java and python and ansible automation tool are highly desirable * Experience on Java (Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, Webmethod), .NET, Web Servers (IHS, Apache, IIS) technologies are essential * Experience working in a support capacity in a time critical environment * Independent and good interpersonal skill. * Strong communication both written and verbal and organization skills. * Must be able to multi-task in a complex production and non-production environments and quickly acquire broad knowledge of applications.
