As a leader in Wholesale Payment Technology Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) team, you will be responsible for identifying resilience challenges, build re-useable, foundational software and infrastructure component to improve, influence and validate the resilience and reliability for technologies that move trillions of dollars per day.
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Hire, mentor, grow, empower your team. Leading with example, motivate team to constantly learning and regularly challenge the status quo. * Based on the in-depth understanding of the business, build technology roadmap to balance between delivery and stability, create plans to close the gaps in reliability by building robust patterns that can be leveraged by other teams. * Regular evaluate the distributed system best practices, frameworks and perform gap analysis with existing system. (For example, gRPC, REST, Spring cloud implementations, messages queue, cache solutions etc.). * Participate in-deep technical and product direction, with a clear understanding of the product roadmap and potential risks.
Requirements & Qualifications
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience * Have passionate, experience and opinion in modern distributed system framework level development. * Extensive experience managing teams and managing cross function projects. * Expert practitioner in multiple technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm * Experience with one or more cloud platforms like Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure * Expert knowledge in one or more of the infrastructure components. (E.g. Routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage and networks) * Expert in multiple technology stacks with designing, coding, testing, delivering software * Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Java, C, C++, Go. * Experience with developing frameworks that helps increasing developer and release velocity, improving code health and technical standards * Provide governance around adoption, and influence software engineering teams on roadmaps and designs * Strong customer focus and ability to build teamwork and partnership across stakeholder teams
