This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience * Hands on experience with the Network-Devices, Configuration and Automation Development for deployment, Testing and Benchmarking for related Hardware and Software * Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Network Engineering and Network-Related (ex. Cisco) disciplines specifically in Infrastructure Development with a distinct focus on Automation and Virtualization * Very proficient in large scale software development leveraging: Python (most-preferred), Ansible and RESTful API interfaces, UNIX/Linux Shell scripting. Other programming languages such as C/C++, Go are a plus * Provide Technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including Design, Implementation and Delivery * Strong knowledge of High-Level architecture and Technical Knowledge of one or more of the Network Products in the areas of: Instrumentation & Observability, Network-Management and Authentication * Understanding of Virtualization (VMware ESXi/NSXi, vSphere, vCenter), APIs, Cloud (AWS), and modern software languages * Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Python, Bash-scripting, Java * Experience working with two or more from the following: Application development, UNIX/Linux environments, Distributed and Parallel systems, Information retrieval, Networking, and Security * Experience with developing frameworks that help increase developer and release velocity, improving code health and technical standards * Understanding or have experience with Agile and Lean philosophies * Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication * Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals * Ability to execute with understanding of best practices and JPMC policies top of mind * Experience operating with colleagues across different time zones with a flexible approach to working hours in order to successfully interact and communicate on a global level
