The Platform Services group is responsible for defining, developing and operating cloud products consumed by our Application Development Partners across the firm. Our Product Portfolio includes Private and Public Cloud Platforms and a wide range of services such as databases, messaging and telemetry.

As a Infrastructure Developer you will work as part of the Gaia Gemfire team in Service Engineering. You'll be part of the team that will innovate and build from the ground up a Self Service caching solution for the entire firm.

Service Engineering Delivers modern consumable services on top of dynamic modern platforms for our application end users in an easy to consume fashion. This includes services such as Data, Messaging & Analytics

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience * Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery * Understanding of cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages * Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages: Java, Python * Experience with developing frameworks that help increase developer and release velocity, improving code health and technical standards * Advanced experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, database, unix/linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, large-scale software development, security software development * Understanding or have experience with Agile and Lean philosophies * Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication * Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals * Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement * Proven ability to leverage full-stack knowledge and experience to build interactive and user-centered website designs * Strong knowledge on build (Maven), continuous integration (Jenkins), code quality analysis (SonarQube) and unit and integration testing (JUnit, Enzyme, Jest, Selenium) * UI/UX Development or Design Experience. Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code * Working experience in Object Oriented programming, REST, JavaScript, Spring MVC frameworks, Node, JPA, Hibernate and cloud technologies such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes
