The Controls technology team's mission is to leverage large datasets for use in various application for monitoring and oversight of investments business in Wealth management. As a Full Stack Cloud Engineer, you will be working on exciting new technologies such as microservices, containers, CI/CD and cloud stack to build/deliver analytics and alerts for various applications.
Responsibilities: * Build data anaytics and alerting pipeline using cloud and on-premises data technologies, such as Scala, S3, Spark,Java,Spring, and Apache Kafka * Implement and manage aaplications CI/CD pipleine for Kubernetes/AWS * Miantain and create new Rest/GraphQL API's * Develop and enhance front-end applications uing ReactJS,Redux,Typescript stack * Design best practices for processing alerts for our team and group * Develop strategy to provide proactive solutions and enable stakeholders to extract insights and value from data * Write test classes using TDD * Advise or mentor junior team members * Understand end to end data interactions and dependencies across complex business rules and how they impact business decisions.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience * 7+ years of full stack development experience * Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global envrionment * Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines * Understanding of architecture and design across all systems * Working proficiency in developmental toolsets * Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices * Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals * Passionate about building an innovative culture * Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement * Advanced level skills in SQL, data integration, data modeling and data architecture * Hands-on experience in Scala/Java its standard library and its package * Hands-on experience building enterprise applications using Scala,Java in a intensive engineering role * Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Autosys * Experience with stream processing platforms such as Kafka or Dataflow * Knowledge of data columnar and serialization formats such as JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro * Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes * Experience with CI/CD systems e.g. Jenkins and automation / DevOps best practices * Familiarity with AWS ecosystem including S3, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, EC2, SQS * Familiarity of microservices stack based on AWS Lambdas. Elastic Search, Spring Boot, NodeJS * Experience with test automation and continuous integration and deployment * Cloud certification a plus
