The Post Trade Technology group is looking for a strong hands-on Java/Unix/Database lead software engineer with extensive experience and with a platform modernization mindset which includes legacy application re-writes and cloud hosting. The candidate must be able to work under pressure while being responsible for the design, development, deployment, and support of the suite of Securities Processing Data Distribution micro services. The candidate must have experience with green field development with proven delivery to production. The candidate must be a team player, and also be able to work independently under tight deadlines. The candidate must be well organized and able to guide team members. The candidate should have experience in performing code reviews. The candidate must be eager to learn and have the ability to quickly pickup new technologies. Strong communication is a must as the position requires interfacing with various user groups and other technology teams across the globe.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience * Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines * Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems * Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages * Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices * Keen understanding of financial control and budget management * Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals

* Passionate about building an innovative culture * Strong programming with Java/J2EE * Good programming with Oracle, DB2, or equivalent relational database * Former experience as tech lead * Strong understanding of the Spring Framework * Strong fundamental understanding of Object Oriented Programming * Strong fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms * Knowledge and experience with RESTFul Services * Knowledge and experience with Apache Camel or equivalent Enterprise Integration Pattern frameworks. * Knowledge and experience working within a Unix/Linux Environment * Knowledge and experience building micro services. * Knowledge and experience building cloud native applications. * Knowledge and experience performing code reviews * Knowledge and experience coaching direct reports * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong problem solving skills * Knowledge and experience working with messaging frameworks (MQ, TIBCO, etc)

Desirable * Knowledge and experience with Apache Kafka * Domain knowledge within the Securities Processing / Financial Industry
