Duties: Design, develop and improve software applications. Understand and translate business requirements into design and implement using Java technology. Work closely with the Scrum Master and Application Development Lead to ensure team and organizational standards for software development are followed. Participate in release and iteration planning meetings with the team and other key stakeholders. Guide Scrum Master and the team with retrospective items to implement the knowledge gained in the current Sprint to discover the opportunities that can be explored in future Sprints. Create code for Test Driven Development (TDD), Automation test scripts and Performance Script. Review test results using firm-wide testing tools. Support User Acceptance Testing (AUT) and Production deployment processes.


Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer/Developer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree and one (1) year of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience.

Skills Required: Requires any amount of experience in the following skills and technologies: Working with a team as part of the SDLC; Java; Spring Framework; Hibernate; JavaScript; TDD; Junit; Log4J; Web services, including: MyBatis, JMS, XML, XSD, WSDL, SOAP, AJAX, Struts, JSP; Servlets and JDBC; PL/SQL technologies, including: Oracle, No SQL, SQL Server, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures and DB2; Messaging API - IBM MQ series; Platform and Build tools, including: Unix, ANT, Maven, Jenkins, Jules, JBoss, Apache Tomcat , WebLogic, CVS, SVN and Sonar Mockito.
