The team is one of several working on the firm's API Platform, supporting the firm-wide adoption of contract based web APIs, automated API deployment via the firm's standard CI/CD pipelines, automatic quality checking and tooling ( Maven, IntelliJ plugins ) to make it easier for developers across the firm to build good quality APIs.

Key technologies used in the team are Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Intellij & Maven Plugin frameworks, TypeScript UIs and private cloud ( Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry ).

This role requires a variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * Beginner's understanding of architecture and design * Ability to work within a team to deliver working software and passionate about building an innovative culture * Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, preferably Java or TypeScript * Understanding of software skills such as refactoring, test driven development, continuous integration and agile processes.

You might be recently graduated with a CompSci degree, or already be working in a junior software engineer role, or perhaps you found programming during your STEM PhD really enjoyable and want to change direction to software engineering.
