Summary:

The Digital Platform Technology Team provides developers with the essential components and infrastructure necessary for creating modern Digital applications.

As a Core Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering scalable infrastructure that provides a function-as-a-service (FaaS) capability built on top of Knative, which adds support for Serverless cloud-native applications on Kubernetes. This provides the benefits of increased developer productivity and reduced operational costs.

You will be required to demonstrate technical curiosity, the ability to make hands-on contributions across different technology domains, and the ability to create solutions that developers enjoy using.

Required Experience: * Experience with Docker and container-orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes * Competency in two or more of the following languages: + Python + JavaScript/Node + Java/Spring Boot + Go * Integrating security guardrails, policy enforcement, and infrastructure automation with continuous delivery pipelines. * Engineering high-availability systems and supporting their operations, including deployment, monitoring, cost control, issue escalation, and root cause analysis. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global team environment * Empathy for software developers and a strong desire to improve their experience

Preferred Experience: * Familiarity with best-practices on Kubernetes, including: + State management + Monitoring/tracing + GitOps deployment + Data management + Authorization and authentication + Security * Hands-on with FaaS frameworks, service meshes, cloud events, and data streaming. * Adept of agile principles with ability to progress from requirements, to prototype, alpha and beta releases, and a production-grade offering.
