A suitable Senior Cognos BI developer/Architect will be proficient with the Cognos 11+ toolset, having a solid understanding of installation, configuration and implementation of Cognos Analytics. The person will be responsible managing Cognos environment as well as for designing, maintaining the Cognos reports, Framework models as per business requirement.

Job Description: * Architect, plan and implement the Cognos Analytics infrastructure. * Develop and maintain technology roadmap, blueprints, technical standards, architecture documents for Cognos BI domain. * Monitor health of Cognos infrastructure with varying usage, suggest and scale up the infrastructure based on the increased user base and reports. * Perform quarterly DR switch over, perform content store/server backup. * Perform Cognos Administration tasks including not limited to Certificate updates, Dispatcher/CM tuning, Schedule monitoring, Content/Audit store maintenance * Experience in using Motio, for version control * Perform quick PoC to demonstrate Cognos analytics features to users * Guide developers to update and enhance existing framework manager models and Reports * Work with end users to resolve their reporting issues, provide tips and tricks in using Cognos Analytics features.

Requirements:

Technical * Significant experience in a Cognos development role with 3+ years as a Cognos Architect. * Proficient with reporting toolsets such as Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Event Studio, Motio, Cognos 11 Dash boarding, data modules * Understand metadata modelling techniques (Framework and OLAP) * Proficient in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle * Understand data warehouse design principle * Experience with Cognos best practices & methodologies * Experience sourcing data from Hadoop and AWS

Personal * Proven ability to work well in a fast paced and challenging technical environment, with ability to multitask whilst delivering high quality solutio * Ability to quickly understand issues and think through solutions * Highly motivated with an ability to work independently * Ability to perform data analysis and troubleshoot data integrity issues * Able to communicate effectively with other team members and business

Any of the following skills will be advantageous: * Agile methodologies - Jira, Kanban, Scrum * Knowledge in TM1, Cognos SDK using Java or .Net * Experience working in the investment banking sector and an understanding of business value that can be derived from data * Experience in UX best practices
