Duties: Design and build software applications within mature technology environments. Create clean, well structured, and testable applications. Collaborate daily with a team to integrate effective solutions for applications to ensure business and client needs are met. Build and support client-side functionality for platform. Partner with business analysts to perform analysis and design based on client requirements. Work with product lead and project manager to understand business requirements and propose design and system solutions. Participate in technical architecture discussions to develop scalable solutions. Work with trading support team to ensure that client queries for trading application are resolved quickly and efficiently. Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming discussions with development team. Work on sprint backlog items and code on existing trading system to provide new features on the trading platform.


Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as Application/Software Developer, or related role. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills and technologies: TypeScript; React; Redux; Immutable.js; RXJS; Web pack; Grunt; NPM; electron, web workers, and multi-process architecture; automation and TDD with Karma and Jasmine; building high-performance front-end applications; messaging technologies and back-end services; JavaScript; DevOps and continuous improvement; object oriented principles: inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism; functional programming paradigms with stateless testable code; full software development lifecycle with agile methodologies; test driven development using modern source control and continuous integration; and leveraging modern frameworks, libraries, tools, and languages.
