DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Plan, architect, design, analyze, and program software to satisfy business requirements. Determine application functionality through analysis of business and data requirements. Contribute to all phases of the SDLC including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance by following the firm's guidelines and practices. Provide strategic thought leadership to application development. Adhere to architecture standards, as well as risk management, security, and data management policies. Give presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, as well as best practice development. Perform code reviews. Build SME knowledge base. Provide recommendations to assist in backlog prioritization. Contribute to and drive software development. Create and maintain relationships between the lines of business and the development team. Guide and mentor junior developers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or (4) four years of experience as an Application/Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related role.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following skills and technologies: Java; J2EE; Javascript; JSON; XML; scripting in Linux; web services such as SOAP or REST; message queue (MQ); object-oriented programming (OOP) and object-oriented design (OOD); application design patterns; Middleware design patterns; Microservices architecture; open source technologies and libraries including Spring, Log4J, Apache Commons, Kafka, and Cassandra; VoiceXML; ASR; Nuance SpeechSuite comprising of Krypton and Vocalizer; Agile; Scrum; test driven development (TDD); peer programming; Cloud Technologies such as AWS; Kubernetes; ADFS; continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD); SCM including GIT, Sonar, Maven, and Jenkins; IntelliJ; and designing and developing multi tier applications.
