DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Collaborate with stakeholders for Firewall API integrations that assist the customer in risk analysis, audit requirements and Business As Usual (BAU) operations. Conduct data modeling and coding for Firewall Automation initiatives. Deploy cloud native applications. Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing Firewall applications. Write technical documentation to guide future software development projects. Provide Agile coaching to the team and conduct Sprint ceremonies. Collaborate with Product Owners to identify and translate end-user requirements and specifications. Develop plans to align short term strategy with long term roadmap. Collaborate with the team to architect and optimize software.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires experience in the following: Programming languages such as C# .NET, Java or Python; Webservices such as SOAP, XML or REST API; Databases such as SQL, IBM DB2 or Oracle; ORM frameworks such as Nhibernate, or Hibernate; Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript, or JSON; Microservices or other architecture/design patterns; ETL and Monitoring jobs; Javascript frameworks such as NodeJS, React, or Redux; Operating systems such as Windows, Linux or Unix; Code scanning tools such as SonarQube; API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger or Fiddler; UI Mockup tools such as Mockflow or Balsamiq; Using IDEs such as Microsoft Visual Studio or IntelliJ; functional, integration, regression, system and performance testing; Writing Functional and Technical Design documents; using Software Configuration Management tools such as Jenkins, GIT, or Tortoise SVN; Facilitating stakeholder discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution of technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance; Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD); Automated software testing using tools such as Pytest or Nunit; Applying Agile development methodology to designing and developing high-volume back-end enterprise applications and products; and, Software Application Deployment using cloud solutions or other tools.
