The Quality Engineering team is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join us in our QE Test Automation Team. In this role, you will develop the testing strategies for an entire product within our extensive portfolio of leading-edge storage technologies. To do so successfully, you'll first need to be an expert in the product's architecture, how they integrate with other products, and the ways they're used by our customers. In this role, you will act as a technical mentor for junior members of the team while potentially interacting with customers, partners, and management at OneMain Financial. This role gives you the opportunity to make significant contributions and improvements to OneMain Financial quality engineering processes and infrastructure.

Job responsibilities

• Define automated test strategies, methodologies, processes, and procedures

• Investigate and recommend test architecture and associated infrastructure pieces to support the quality engineering methodology, process, and procedures

• Investigate and recommend testing and automation tools

• Analyze product source code and propose appropriate test strategies for the products

• Oversee the work of other automation team members

• Participate in and contribute to weekly team meetings

• Interact with external partners and customers regarding testing strategies

• Schedule and lead reviews with senior management

• Provide an accurate and timely status of automated testing efforts and quality statistics to the engineering organization

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT or computer science, with 7-10 years related experience and training; equivalent combination of education and experience is also considered

• Expertise in programming languages such as python, perl, java, c is required

• Experience with continuous integration and automation frameworks is highly desirable

• Expertise in defining and analyzing metrics and managing technical debt

• Background in test-driven development or Agile methodologies is an advantage

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must

This role can be remote within the Central and Eastern time zones.
