J.P. Morgan is a global leader in Asset and Wealth Management services. The Asset & Wealth Management line of business serves institutional, ultra-high net worth, high net worth and individual clients through its Asset Management and Wealth Management businesses.
As part of the Asset & Wealth Management Line of Business, the UI Lead Front End Engineer will * Develop new user-facing features using React.js * Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use * Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code * Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model * Writing modular , reusable and extendable CSS3 and familiarity with BEM naming approach * Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles * Experience with popular React.js state management workflows (such as Flux, Redux or Context API), React Hooks and developing custom hooks * Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript (ES 6+) * Working knowledge of charting frameworks .e.g. Highcharts, D3js or Chart.js and integrating with Reactjs applications * Experience migrating from Angular to React will be a plus * Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js) * Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus, familiarity with server side rendering will be plus * Familiarity with RESTful APIs and REACT Native is a plus * Familiarity with integrating with Websocket and ServerSend events based api's is a plus * Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token * Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools Webpack 4 + and familiarity with code splitting will be plus * Experience with common front-end development tools such as ESLint , Chrome or Firefox Developer plugin * Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements * A knack for benchmarking and optimization .e.g. familiarity with using of Chrome Dev tools for client side performance analysis devising various combinations such Network throttling , CPU slowdown will be plus * Familiarity with GIT code versioning tools * 10+ years of experience in a front end development role * Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and experience with SVG will be plus * Experience on agile development teams * Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with product owners, end users, designers, and developers * Strong user orientation focus and customer empathy * Willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
