The role

We are seeking a talented Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. This team was formed in 2020 with the objective to make improvements to our Cloud offering for our customers and internal stakeholders. The team is currently focusing on the automation of deployments and robust management and monitoring of Cloud environments and internal systems.

Working with a team of experienced engineers, you will play an important part in building out and expanding the capability of this team. You will be hands-on technical whilst also establishing strong working relationships across our business and with our external cloud providers. The role is varied and challenging and is an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious and innovative team.

The team is currently working remotely with occasional days in the office.

The person

We encourage applications from individuals with 2+ years’ experience in any of the following areas: DevOps, Cloud Operations, Infrastructure, or 2nd/3rd line technical/application support. We are keen to speak you if you have a background in managing and monitoring cloud environments, are experienced in the automation of both system and software related tasks, and/or have a strong understanding of MSSQL and Database Administration concepts.

The ideal person will be motivated to produce elegant & efficient solutions to problems through scripting & automation; why do something twice if you can automate it once?

Experience/skills

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Have the personal attitude and behaviours that represent the company values: Respect, Caring, Honesty, Ambition, One Team and Pride.
  • Scripting/Automation (PowerShell, Ansible, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Terraform, GitHub Actions etc.)
  • Windows sysadmin
  • Azure
  • SQL Server / Azure SQL
  • Team player with a methodical approach to problem solving
  • Solid experience in managing conflicting priorities

Desirable

  • Professional certifications in any of the following:
  • Azure
  • SQL Server
  • DevOps
  • Linux administration experience
