As a Software Development Engineer in Test in the Digital Platform UI team, you will be working collaboratively with experienced engineers , managers and business teams building digital products and services leveraged by our engineering partners across the organization .

In this role you will have the opportunity to work with product development teams across our group as a test engineering expert in building and improving test automation frameworks to be more robust, scalable and efficient. You will enable this by being an integral part of each of our teams one at a time, understanding their context, skills and partnering with them in increasing automation coverage, validate the robustness of automation frameworks by operating at scale and refining it for better adoption within the team. In the process you will also champion the adoption of modern test engineering practices that embraces testing throughout the development life cycle.

You will see the direct impact of your contributions on the trading floor and in client feedback from around the globe. You will be able to learn about financial markets from colleagues and extensive training resources. This is what you will have * Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments * Proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript for automated testing of modern web apps and cross-platform desktop apps built with ElectronJS * Expertise with end-to-end automation tools such as Cypress, Webdriver IO, Puppeteer * Experience automated testing of REST APIs and GraphQL * Experience performance testing at API and UI layers separately * Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, NPM, etc. * Knowledge in accessibility testing, security testing * Confident building test infrastructures using containerisation technologies such as Docker and working within continuous delivery/continuous release pipeline processes * Confident testing enterprise applications deployed to cloud environments * Comfortable working closely with developers in coaching them on writing effective automated tests. * Excellent communication and analytical skills to prioritise and excel in a fast-paced, tight deadlines environment
