More specifically, as an architect on our Consumer and Business Banking initiatives, you will contribute to the overall direction and delivery of banking innovations that will be used by more than 60 million customers across our franchise and extensive national footprint. You will be responsible for driving creativity, setting direction, influencing the broader engineering community to design and deliver more effectively for our businesses. The ability to communicate effectively is critical since you will work closely with groups inside and outside the broader technology team. You should be able to flesh out ideas and describe those to others so that every part of the concept is thought out and accounted for. You should have a solid background in cloud-native design and specific cloud services. With the help of numerous supporting teams, you will lead projects from initial research, through design and development, and into testing and delivery.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * 10+ years of combined software/application development experience * Experience with proven industry design patterns for micro service development and full-stack design for resiliency using cloud services in a private cloud or public cloud provider * Experience working with large enterprise architecture initiatives and internally prescribed patterns * Experience in cloud native development best practices * Experience with database design and development in both traditional RDBMS products and distributed databases. * Experience with the following is highly desired: + Familiarity with Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planning + Familiarity with several languages: Java, JavaScript, or other modern language, e.g. Rust or Go. * Expertise in working in partnership with colleagues throughout a large corporation, and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals.
