RESPONSIBILITIES: * Participate in a digital technology project from concept to implementation, and through all phases of the software development lifecycle * Create work estimates based on technology concepts and requirements documentation. * Lead and coach the development team through the entire software development life cycle. That is from design, implementation, testing and maintenance. * Develop secure, testable and efficient code for iOS and Android * Adhere to agile principles and work closely and collaboratively with the wider team. * Ensure code hygiene and documentation is maintained to the highest levels. * Be passionate in your field and keep up-to-date on emerging technologies, platform advances and APIs. * Mentor junior developers in core design patterns and architectural principles.
REQUIREMENTS * 12+ years experience designing and implementing applications * 10+ years of combined software/application development experience in Swift , Objective-C, Java, Kotlin * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Degree in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited university or four years equivalent development experience.
QUALIFICATIONS * Working knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control * Ability to communicate effectively with other technical resources and and the company as a whole * Experience working with API integration * Experience with distributed systems, caching and persistence solutions. * Ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues * Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions * Excellent interpersonal communication with strong verbal / written English skills * Demonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence * Prior experience working on agile teams is a plus. * Customer-focused mindset, taking pride in creating an informative data-driven journey * Experience building localized, multi-tenant solutions * Experience with all phases of the development life cycle * Ability to understand requirements and translate it in efficient code. * Understands the importance of unit testing and able to write meaningful unit tests * Understanding of GIT and GIT workflow * Pair programming ability is a bonus * Experience with the following is desired: + Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planning + Enthusiasm for automated testing + Experience with unit testing frameworks * Use of Frameworks and APIs like Foundation, UIKit, and CocoaTouch, Core Data. * Experience in using Xcode provided tools like Debug Memory Graph, Debug View Hierarchy, Instruments for Profiling. * Strong technical background with a demonstrable app portfolio * Excellent understanding of all mobile UI fundamentals, from layout to animations * A Strong experience with Data Structures, Type Conversions, Multi-Threading. * Managing Apps on various Mobile Configurations * Experience with One or more Design Patterns - MVC, MVVM, MVP, Singleton * Created an application that is available in Apple's AppStore / Google Play * Proficiency with Linux, Mac OS X, GNU tools, and scripting languages * Understanding of build systems such as gradle, Jenkins.
