CARIAD develops driver assistance functions for the Volkswagen Group that represent the next step in highly automated driving. As part of our software development department, you will work in a highly motivated interdisciplinary team. In the domain of driver assistance systems of the core functions of Lane Assist, Travel Assist and Emergency Assist, you will contribute to innovative systems for assisted and automated driving. The following tasks await you:


  • Develop functions and algorithms like perception, path planning, control algorithms or interaction with the driver using programming languages as C and Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
  • Coordinate your contributions with colleagues working in other software modules
  • Integrate algorithms into simulation environments and run corresponding tests in virtual environments
  • Work on prototype and production implementation of software components and conduct validation in vehicles on public streets or proving grounds
  • Document your work properly according to state-of-the-art developmentprocesses (e.g. A-SPICE, ISO 26262)


  • Degree in computer science, vehicle engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Profound knowledge and experience in programming and modelling in C and SIMULINK Professional experience developing software with focus on ADAS functions
  • You enjoy solving complex problems developing algorithms or software components
  • With your skills and experience you will contribute to our team
  • Excellent social, teamwork and communication skills with proficient German and good English
  • Your work is based on creativity and enthusiasm as well as commitment and focus on targets
