CARIAD develops driver assistance functions for the Volkswagen Group that represent the next step in highly automated driving. As part of our software development department, you will work in an interdisciplinary team of highly motivated colleagues developing the core functions of Lane Assist, Travel Assist and Emergency Assist.Having a strong background in software engineering, you contribute with a strong tool competence and methodical approach to the development teams.


  • Be part of an architecture team which is responsible for more than 60 software modules
  • Improve the design of existing software components which include SIMULINK and C modules
  • Coordinate the implementation tasks with the developers on a daily basis
  • Handle various product lines with methods of variant management
  • Actively drive the process improvement of our activities and ensure the achievement of Automotive SPICE levels necessary together with your team


  • Degree in computer science or equivalent field
  • Several years of professional experience developing software and a focus on software architecture
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in software engineering, programming and modeling in both C and SIMULINK
  • Awareness of the costumer, hardware and process requirements needs
  • Developing clean technical solutions and documenting your work properly according to process standards as well
  • Excellent social, teamwork and communictation in proficient German and good English
