CARIAD develops driver assistance functions for the Volkswagen Group that represent the next step in highly automated driving. As part of our software development department, you will work in a highly motivated interdisciplinary team. In the domain of driver assistance systems of the core functions of Lane Assist, Travel Assist and Emergency Assist, you will contribute to innovative systems for assisted and automated driving. The followingtasks await you:


  • Take the responsibility for software components such as perception, path planning, control algorithms or driver interaction
  • Analyse new functions and features to unify the architecture working together with other module owners and software architects
  • Coordinate and contribute to the implementation together with a team of developers
  • Improve the design of new and existing components
  • Document your work properly according to process standards and actively encourage others to do so
  • Support the validation of the function through software and vehicle tests


  • Degree in computer science, vehicle engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience developing software with focus on ADAS functions
  • Profound knowledge and experience in programming and modelling in C and SIMULINK
  • Professional experience in automotive function development using state-of-the-art development processes (A-SPICE, ISO 26262)
  • Excellent social, teamwork and communication skills with proficient German and good English
