About The Team

At eBays European Regional Development Team we are on a mission to build customer experiences, expand existing core products and innovate commerce at scale. While focused on European markets, we also chip in to eBays global product initiatives. The team is located at eBay Germanys Headquarter in Dreilinden (Berlin) and is part of the Core Product and Technology organisation with offices in New York, San Jose and Portland. Our cross-functional teams include Product Management, as well as all aspects of Engineering and UX, and closely interact with business units in Italy, France and UK every day.

About the Role

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for building, improving and maintaining one or more experiences across the European markets. Your role will touch a variety of fields like Loyalty Programs, User Retention, Shipping as well as regional-specific projects with focus on Italian, French and UK markets. This role requires driven collaboration with many global product teams and European Business Units. Besides working broadly across multiple technical domains, you will also be the Product Owner in a scrum team driving projects from conception to delivery and maintenance. In order to complete our team abilities, an experience in data management and analytics is a strong bonus.

What you will do

  • Synthesize product ideas and requirements from cross-functional teams, provide clear directions to your scrum team and co-lead with your engineering counterpart to drive execution

  • Manage and drive projects to completion through sprints using scrum framework, including writing tickets and user stories, chairing meetings, holding team members accountable for delivery

  • Work with partners to understand priorities and craft the product roadmap with key success metrics and clear outcomes

  • Identify project risks, quantify cost/benefit relationships and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation

  • Collect data insights to measure improvements made to your product and business outcomes

  • Evangelize, mentor, and product management standard methodologies throughout the company

What you bring

  • Proven track record working on user facing products, B2C, C2C or SaaS products

  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external partners in a matrix environment

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to coordinate and work on cross-group projects

  • Ability to build positive relationships internally and externally, be an active listener and clear communicator

  • Proven business background, as well as experience leading software products using agile methodologies

  • A strong work ethic, you are someone who takes excellent pride in integrity, responsibility, and being proactive

  • Experience with Python/SQL as well working with analytics are a strong plus
