Located in Jersey City, we work in one of six global strategic technology centers for Global Investment Banking Technology. With every sprint, we solve extremely challenging projects using the latest technologies.

Your typical day includes participating in our Agile software development process and developing code using technologies including Java, Spring, messaging platforms, search and cache technologies, and modern web UI technologies. You'll be collaborating in a global team with members in New York, Glasgow, London, Mumbai, and Bangalore, where you'll be rewarded for taking initiative and unleashing your creativity to help solve problems.

Specifically the role requires you to: * Work directly with users to understand their needs, and design and develop functionality to meet them * Build applications based on cloud-native principles and deploy to cloud platforms * Create reusable components and front-end libraries for future use * Write maintainable & testable code using Java and JavaScript * Automate tests and deployments alleviating the need for manual intervention * Collaborate with other technology teams to ensure successful integration * Research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team

Skill Set: * Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages such as; Java, J2EE technologies, JavaScript * Implementation skills with Java and Spring * Strong understanding of web development practices * Experience with automated testing in Junit and mocking frameworks (jmockit, mockito, etc.) * Good understanding of one or more relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) * Willing and able to learn the business and understand users' needs * Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent * Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills: * Experience with Hibernate * Experience with web UI and frameworks like Angular * Experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha/Jasmine) * Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git etc
