The Solution Architect will form relationships with senior stakeholders and drive a solution architecture delivery roadmap for multi-phase transformation projects. The architect will become the trusted solution architecture advisor to the technology and business leaders. This is a principle technical leadership role in the architecture organization responsible for developing technology roadmaps and plans for key business strategies supporting the Chase Merchant Services business.
Responsibilities: * Decompose business roadmaps and strategies into well-defined architecture guidance for software development and infrastructure teams * Creation of architecture artifacts including conceptual, logical, security, and physical architectures and data flow diagrams. * Work with IT and business units to create investable and executable technical roadmaps * Work with business stakeholders and gain support for critical technology investment decisions * Act as a key advisor to senior IT and business leadership * Scope and size technology investments * Evaluate technologies, vendor solutions and applications * Evangelize architecture best practices across JPMC in support of the firm-wide technology strategies * Work across LOBs with other architects for solution alignment
Qualifications * 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ year experience as an software architect responsible for designing large complex distributed systems * Minimum of 5 years' experience in collaborating directly with business partners to ensure technical solutions deliver on business objectives * Demonstrated ability to leverage enterprise architecture principles to develop business strategies into investable technical roadmaps * Experience in financial services and banking with a focus on Payment Processing * 5+ year of development experience using modern programming languages (Java, Python, Go, Javascript) * Experience with NoSQL, newSQL and relational databases, preferably Oracle, Cassandra, Redshift and Snowflake * 3+ year of proven experience with Public and Private cloud infrastructure and solutions, preferably on AWS * Experience with Domain Driven design and agile development is preferred * Experience with micro-services architecture, REST APIs and API management Platforms is desirable * Deep expertise in working with messaging systems like Kafka * Experience with AWS data ecosystem tools and technology stack * Proven experience with Hybrid cloud implantations * Experience in building observability and resiliency solutions * Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals * Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in highly dynamic, fast paced environment and able to manage multiple request at the same time * Ability to work at a high level with little detail. * Strong verbal and written communication skills
