As a Software Engineer you will be a member of the Model Engineering team that supports code generation from abstract data models. Effective forward engineering requires a good understanding of data models, the target language and its related libraries. You will be responsible to help with the specification of how to map models to software assets (such as specification and source code), and with the implementation of tools capable of doing so. This role provides huge growth opportunity as it supports automation of many modern technologies. In this role you will have to be both the teacher and the student as continued learning is at the core of the team.
Duties * Be responsible for development, testing, releasing, and monitoring of model engineering tools using agile methodology * Creating Automated Unit Tests using a Test Driven Development approach * Working closely with data modelers to understand the data model * Work closely with development team, participate in code reviews * Share your knowledge and best practices with the team and wider organization * Learn new skills and keep up with industry innovations to deliver solutions to automate manual or cumbersome work
Required Skills * Java (8/11) * Maven * Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment strategies * GIT * SQL Database design and queries * Model-driven engineering * Experience in forward engineering and code generation
