As a Infrastructure Developer (SRE) you will drive along Operational at scale and Toil identification and invoke development for Toil reduction. You will help build a meaningful engineering discipline combining software , hardware and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems. Most of our support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation. You 'll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment you will work with team and take lead on relevant projects, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow.
Responsibilities: * Operational support at scale representing Storage supporting Block Object and File. * Design, code, test and deliver software to automate repetitive and manual operational work. * Troubleshoot priority incident , engage and facilitate blameless post mortems and ensure permanent closure of incident. * Design Self Healing and resiliency pattern. * Engage with SRE team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changes. * Coach, teamwork and mentor as applicable. * participate in flexible 24*7 global coverage as needed. * Execute Infrastructure weekend Changes in product and Environment. * Identify gaps between applicable requirements and current procedures/controls and drive resolution of mitigating controls * Work with business partners to design and implement enhancements to existing processes and/or business applications, introduce new processes and/or toolsets, and engage in process re-engineering * Develop and implement solutions that strengthen business operating models, enhance the client experience, and improve efficiency and controls.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in operational support and engineering discipline. * Excellent communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management. * Expertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding , testing and delivering software. * Proficiency in one or more technology domains , may be cross-domain expert to able to solve complex and mission critical problems with in a business or across the firm. * Working knowledge infrastructure component ( Eg. Load balancer, network layer, cloud products, container systems, compute and storage). * Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint * Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills. * 7- 10 year Working experience with Industry standard Storage solution such as - NetApp (OnTap , Storage Grid, Solidfire), Dell (Isilon Scale IO and Dell ECS). * Software development experience in one general purpose programming language : Python, Java, C, C++, Go, Shell scripting. * Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail-oriented and strong interpersonal skills. * Ability to analyze and resolve project-related issues and follow through with set objectives * Ability to deal with different stakeholder groups to elicit business requirements, procedures, and processes * Ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work * Be a team player who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain a positive attitude and high-level of performance on high-profile/time-sensitive initiatives
