The candidate selected will be part of EECT Cloud Engineering Center of Excellence team to get involved in researching emerging technologies, developing framework solutions and supporting application teams. The preferred candidate will be able to work independently to solve complex problems and work with geographically spread teams. The preferred candidate will have several years of cloud application/API development experience in multiple platforms and can complete assigned duties with minimal direction from management.

Roles and Responsibilities * Play a SME role for private/public cloud container platforms, API technologies - GraphQL, API Gateway, Open API Specifications * Develop & execute proof of concepts with minimal direction and self-starter * Learn new technologies in short time and experiment * Ability to approach in systematic way to solve complex problems * Development of frameworks - FinOps Cost Optimization Frameworks, API Development Tools, etc. * Working closely with application development teams and provide architecture, design and code guidance * Sharp debugging skills using standards IDE, remote debuggers, CLI based tools * Play SME role for application development teams to help Cloud, API and Microservices

Experience Required : * Minimum 2+ years cloud API platforms (e.g. AWS API Gateway, Apigee Gateway, Kong API, Google API Stack) * Minimum 5+ years application architecture framework development/Engg experience * API Stack - ReST APIs, GraphQL API, Open API Specifications, API Performance testing, API Developer Toolkits, API Standards validators * Container Stack - Docker, Kubernetes, Skaffold, Kaniko, Spinnaker, Artifactory, Service Mesh, Container SDLC * FinOps Cost Optimization Tools to monitor and create alarms * Cloud - Spring Cloud Services, Microservices & Cloud design principles, Cloud foundry basic development experience * Core App tier Tech - Spring Stack(MVC, Core, AOP), Spring boot, Java, JDBC, JPA/ORM, PL/SQL (Any one of DATABASE Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server), Web Services (SOAP/ReST) * Development Stack - IDEs (IntelliJ /Eclipse), Unit Testing tools (JMockit, others if any), Performance Testing tools (Jmeter/ Blaze/ loadrunner), Build tools (Maven/Gradle), CI/CD tools(Jenkins), Logging - Splunk * Integration - ReST API, JSON/XML, Kafka * OS - Linux/Unix, Windows * Willing to learn new technologies and can-do attitude * Experience defining software development practices across teams of individuals * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Agile development experience

Preferred skills: * Java -Advanced skills like heap dump analysis, multi thread programming, JVM Tuning * Scripts - Node.js/Python * UI- Angular/React (either one is must)
