Full Stack Software Engineer
Description of the role * Seeking a full-stack engineer to assist in building the strategic liquidity risk management infrastructure for one of the largest financial institution in the country. * The target platform will process daily several millions transactions and positions, calculate risk presented by the current actual as well as model-based future states of the market, and provide ability to analyze the profile in real time. * This is a great opportunity for engineers who want to work on building cloud native platforms from the ground up. Engineers will work on building the next generation distributed systems as well as modern reporting architecture. The platform will utilize massively computing platform with ability to scale horizontally, partitioning and pipelining, modern in-memory, non-relational data management principles, and will be completely cloud native. * The individual is going to be part of the dynamic team of highly talented individuals and will be encouraged to contribute ideas, effort to design, and implementation, and learn new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies. * Extraordinary coding skills. You're a best in class developer as demonstrated by your experience in building technology to solve complex problems. Will be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment that demands quick turnaround for mission critical technical solutions. * A highly intelligent and driven individual with a high degree of technical curiosity and a real passion for technology and solving hard problems. Has an extremely high standard with a low tolerance for low quality output. * You should be comfortable in building POCs and working on new cutting edge cloud and big data technologies such as EC2, Hadoop, Spark, etc. * Passion for engineering great systems and motivated by having a tangible impact on real outcomes
Key Requirements * Minimum of 5-6 years of diversified experience working with client or server side development including Java, Scala and/or Python. * Strong background in computer science concepts or a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience. * Experience programming in at least one of the following languages: C++, Java, Scala or Python. * Experience and knowledge with building out large scale distributed systems is highly desirable. * Experience and knowledge with Back-end/Server Technologies: AWS EC2, IAM, S3, Hadoop, Spark, Spring (Boot, MVC, Batch) * Experience with HPC, multi-threading and messaging platforms. * Knowledge of Unix shell and RDBMS (Oracle/Sybase) and NOSQL concept (key/value, document db, wide columnar) is a must * Front-end technologies: Javascript, React JS, WebSocket, Micro Frontends, Performance/Caching (Server/Client) is a must for those looking to work on front end. * Excellent oral and written, and problem solving skills are required.
