DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Responsible for the effective collaboration between Business Users and Technology teams by managing the delivery of source code management, build & deployment management, code metrics and various software tools development. Play a critical IT role during requirements gathering, testing, and implementation phases and work closely with business users and IT management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Lead, Architect, design, analyze, develop, and test applications to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects. Adhere to architecture standards, perform code reviews. Contribute to the architectural/design feasibility discussions, prototype development. Stay up to date with the latest developments in Enterprise Java and open source technologies, share knowledge with the team and propose adoption of new technology. Work with business users and other upstream/downstream teams to understand business requirements, translate them into functional specifications and formulate a technical solution. Develop and update functional user stories/use cases and conduct business process modeling meetings to explain business requirements to development teams. Work on coding, compiling, unit testing, integration, packaging and deployment of developed software. Collaborate with the onshore and offshore development team effectively managing deliverables. Collaborate with other developers to share development solutions, experiences, challenges and best practices. Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with defined standards and AGILE development practice. Support, analyze and resolve production issues when necessary. Assist in mentoring and growing junior developer resources. Contribute towards giving technical path for the product deliverables in the development team, also effectively communicate to senior management for the deliverables, issues and releases.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Systems, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.

Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience developing applications for the financial services domain, or related experience.

Skills required: Experience technically leading and managing project delivery. Experience with Agile Methodology and business requirement gathering and creating functional stories. Experience developing web applications in Java/J2EE technologies and developing code with Core Java. Experience developing applications in the financial products domain. Experience in coding modules that use JMS and Restful API's. Experience designing and working with Spring framework. Experience working in cloud-based applications including Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Amazon Cloud (AWS). Experience developing and deploying web-based applications in application servers including Apache Tomcat and WebSphere. Experience developing web based front-end applications in Angular JS or React JS and HTML. Experience coding with Java modules involving transactions with database involving JDBC or Hibernate. Experience working with job scheduling applications Control-M or Autosys. Experience developing applications that utilize data from Oracle or Sybase databases using SQL. Experience in unit testing, and user acceptance testing, and promoting applications in the production environment providing support for any production issues.
