This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: * BS/BA degree or equivalent experience * 5 - 10 years of experience in Java and micro-services * Expert-level knowledge of architectural principles, design patterns and business processes * Expert in Java, SQL, JavaScript, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MQ, Java Multithreading * In depth experience with in one or more of Oracle, DB2 and MySQL * Experience with micro services design and implementation using REST APIs * Experience in building cloud based applications with spring boot * Knowledge with messaging applications like Rabbit MQ, Kafka or ActiveMQ * Working proficiency in development toolsets like eclipse, JetBrains / IntelliJ Idea, Bit Bucket * Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals * Experience working in a financial services environment * Strong communication skills and working in a team environment * Desire to build high quality applications by creating a well-designed architecture; writing clean code; creating reusable components and strategic frameworks across multiple lines of business using latest technologies; and implementing common industry practices such as continuous integration and significant unit test code coverage.

Additional skills (A plus, but not essential) * Hands on experience with Apigee is a big plus * Experience with AngularJS and Bootstrap a big plus * Experience in application testing and monitoring frameworks - jMeter, AppDynamics, Geneos, Fitnesse etc. * Experience with AngularJs, ReactJs or similar JavaScript framework, HTML5 * Experience with developing and maintaining applications in Amazon Web Services(AWS) and/or other public/private cloud desirable * Experience with Performance engineering desirable * Working knowledge of Loan IQ UI, APIs and data model * Knowledge of Loans products and servicing
