The Application Support Lead within a Production Management team is responsible for technical support of production applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities: * Demonstrate creativity, innovation and high performance * Performance and Interoperability Requirements * Application scalability/Capacity Management * Standards, best practices and Compensating Controls * Logging, monitoring, intelligent alerting, self-healing * High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Sustained Resiliency, Chaos Engineering * Service and Operational Level Agreements * Application Knowledge Support Artifacts, etc. * Manage day to day issues including daily health checks of applications and processes, working closely with end users, development staff and Infrastructure teams, to prioritize and resolve and/or mitigate outages * Monitor production activities/processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives * Ensures information controls, back-up and recovery strategies are in place across all environments * Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions, Design self-healing and resiliency patterns * Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures, and production monitoring * Help in identifying, coordinating, and implementing initiatives/projects and activities that create efficiencies and optimize technical processing * Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users and clients * Carefully evaluate alternative risks and solutions before taking action to provide timely resolution
Technical Qualification: * 5+ years of hands-on experience in Production Support/Engineering. * 5+ years' experience managing Application on Java, Cloud, UNIX/Linux/Aix environment. * 5+ years of Hand-on experience with Public and Private Cloud-based applications, technologies and tools, deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, FluentD, Slack, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana, etc. * 5+ years' experience with distributed applications (Oracle, Cassandra, MariaDB, MongoDB,SQL, SQL Server, NoSQL) * 5+ years of hands-on experience with monitoring tools Splunk, WILY and Dynatrace. * 5+ years' Strong analytical & trouble shooting skills required. * 3+ years' Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and test execution. * 3+ years of software engineer experience in one of the following languages: C, C++, Java J2EE technology stack and web technologies /, Python, Go, Perl, Ruby or shell scripting (Unix/Linux), do integration of orchestration platform with multiple products using management APIs provided (REST, JSON etc.) * Excellent problem people management skills and relentless drive for root cause and execute measures to reduce repeat occurrence. * Experience supporting mission-critical platforms/applications desirably in financial services industry, * Strong knowledge of relevant applications and development of life cycles * Commitment to attract, develop and retain talent * Strong knowledge of applicable business areas, the supporting technology architecture, and applicable processes
