Tech Lead (Enterprise) at HealthHero (London, UK)
Location: London, UK
Type: Full Time
Created: 2022-01-19 05:00:32
We are looking for a confident and experienced technical lead with excellent people skills and evidence of managing high pace development teams and complex software systems to join our Enterprise team. The team is well established and is crucial in providing multiple channels for our clients to engage with us, whether this is via API integrations or progressive web apps.
We have embarked on an ambitious product and technology strategy to drive our mission of simplifying healthcare and saving lives. This will be a challenging but rewarding role with huge scope for making an enormous impact and defining the products we build, as well as how we grow and evolve as a company.
What you will be doing
The role will require a highly motivated person who is comfortable wearing many hats as they will be the primary technical contact for the wider business and will work very closely with management stakeholders and other teams across the HealthHero group including product, support, governance, and operations.
Candidates must have a strong preference for hands-on problem solving. You will be responsible for mentoring and supporting team members, iterating procedures and practices to create an ideal environment for world-class development. Supported by our burgeoning SOC team, you and your team will be expected to own and run your team's software, focussing on quality, but making up the last line of support if required.
You will lead architectural discussions, championing best practices where appropriate and drive the design and execution of our solutions.
Establishing and maintaining collaboration between your team and the rest of the engineering teams is important to ensure a coherent technical vision for the business.
At HealthHero we expect our developers to own the entire software development lifecycle including refining business requirements, design, development, deployment, monitoring, continuous support and maintenance. Owning the whole process empowers developers to contribute to a wider context in the business and breaks down silos. As the role implies you will need to lead by example and mentor other developers whilst applying your knowledge to create industry-leading software as the business requires.
We are a collaborative and growing organisation, and we strongly encourage participation in our cross-tribe guilds (e.g. architecture, data). You will also be expected to present your teams work at cross-team knowledge sharing sessions and regular stakeholder briefings.
Our Tech Stack
On the technical side this will require an understanding of best practice in several key areas including:
- Software quality management (automated testing, shift left testing)
- Event driven microservices
- Modern C# & Dotnet
- SQL & NoSQL databases
- Cloud (Azure)
