About the team

The mission of the Platform Center of Expertise is to provide support and guidance in technical architectural topics for all SAP IT development teams. We evaluate new cloud and platform technologies to build end-to-end reference architectures for cloud extensions, using cutting edge technologies. We position them in the cloud strategy of SAP IT and drive main technical architectural decisions. Our technical experts have a deep technical knowledge and work closely with development teams together, consulting them in end-2-end architectural and technical topics, but also in how to design, develop, deploy and run apps for internal use.

We provide a stable foundation of the platform for all SAP IT teams. This includes the Governance and Operation of all SCP environments (CF, ABAP, Kyma, Functions) as well as central tools, strategic services and applications. Additionally, we foster a strong collaboration with all SAP Standard Product teams and share our learnings with both, standard development inside SAP, and SAP Cloud Platform customer outside SAP.
