Key Responsibilities: * Data centric design and development using big data tools like hbase, hive, spark, kafka, elastic search. * Research new technologies, identify and learn best practice, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance to other team members. * Work with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solution across regions. * Presenting and demoing to users, stakeholders, and technology groups. * Promoting excellent user experience and system performance.
Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field with 6+ years' experience in Architecture and Software Development of applications. * Prior experience working at a large tier global financial institution. * Demonstrated analytical techniques and ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology and present ideas clearly and concisely. * Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in an easy to understand manner. * Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues.
Technical Knowledge: * Experience in Core Java, Data structures and Algorithms, Linux/Windows OS * Proficiency in Java 8 or Scala. * Expertise in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark & Hive. * Experience building/maintaining APIs and Micro Services leveraging spring framework, Spring Boot, Gaia/Cloud Foundry. * Experience working with high volume Kafka messaging is a big plus. * Scala/Python experience is desirable. * Preferred if acquainted with public cloud ecosystems( AWS/VMware Tanzu/ GCP) and CI/CD/containerization tools configurators (Skaffold, Dockers, Kubernetes) * Package services using Docker and configuring & deploying on Kubernetes platform * Build fully automated CI / CD pipelines, support software solutions that are highly secure. * Write test cases using mocking frameworks like jmockit, mockito etc. and well versed with functional / regression, integration and performance testing
Preferred skills: * Experience with building and supporting internet based client facing financial platforms at a large financial institution * Understanding of the Private Banking business
