Private Investments Due Diligence - Mumbai Analyst Team

J.P. Morgan Global Wealth Management provides investment management products and services to high net worth and ultra high net worth investors. The Private Investments Due Diligence team sits within GWM Managed Solutions and Strategies which encompasses the discretionary investment offerings for clients, including multi-asset and single asset-class strategies as well as our manager selection platforms. The Private Investments Due Diligence team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and monitoring private investment funds across buyout, growth equity, real estate and private credit funds for inclusion in private client portfolios across the global client franchise. With over $85 billion in total commitments since 2000, the team uses a \"best-of-breed\" approach to source investment opportunities across its broad platform. A disciplined open architecture selection process enables the group to offer private clients high quality investment opportunities.

This candidate will be responsible to:

Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge relating to the private equity, private credit and real estate private market industries

Assist with initial screening and due diligence of new private funds with an emphasis on quantitative analysis of manager track records, understanding the sources of value creation and comparing the manager's investment performance to industry benchmarks.

Participate in ongoing fund monitoring by preparing and maintaining commentary and analysis relating to the performance of individual funds

Help maintain detailed monitoring records post-investment including hosting and documenting regular update calls/meetings with fund managers and attending fund annual meetings

Assist with the development and maintenance of data and portfolio manager tools related to due diligence and fund monitoring

Assist with the pipeline and process management activities for the due diligence team

Requirements:

3-5 years of work experience in Financial Services or Consulting; a focus on investment banking

or private equity markets research preferred

Excellent analytical skills to frame a decision and ability to communicate in a transparent fashion

Experience with building and analyzing financial models

Experience with private markets investments or familiarity with alternative investment strategies and structures preferred

Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information

Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks at once

Exceptional written, presentation, and communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
