The Senior Network Service Delivery Engineer role supports the end-to-end delivery for Citizens network infrastructure. This role works as a part of the overall Network Services organization to coordinate installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network infrastructure components. This critical network team is charged with the responsibility to deploy, harden, and maintain overall network platforms.

Services that the Delivery organization includes business requested project support, network platform administration/provisioning, and network platform lifecycle management. The successful candidate must have multi-disciplined experience with the delivery of network services across routing, switching, and network security platforms alongside ensuring operational stability and efficiency in the work product.   

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Lead network projects end-to-end – ensuring proper site planning, scoping of solution, and successful implementation.
  • Maintain the network operating environment by supporting lifecycle projects while ensuring compliance with configuration standards
  • Provide day-to-day management and support of key network infrastructure and platforms – including services such as Velocloud SD-WAN, Infoblox DDI, and related technologies for supporting core network services to our user base.
  • Support platform provisioning such as firewall policy modifications, routing updates, switch configurations, and net new infrastructure additions to the environment.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements, and ultimately technology solutions
  • Perform periodic review of network process, procedures and protocols to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in the most effective and efficient manner. Assist with producing and updating documentation.
  • Provide partnership and consultation with internal business partners in Cybersecurity, Architecture and Service Operations & Support, including third-party support organizations and vendors.
  • Maintain network solutions that are compliant with Cybersecurity Policy and applicable industry regulations
  • Support evolution of the network services operating environment through automation and new technology adoption


Required Skills/Experience:  

  • Experience supporting a multi-platform network environment with demonstrated ability to lead the delivery for current and new technologies
  • Strong understanding of campus and datacenter routing, switching, and network protocols
  • WAN and Backbone network protocols - BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and QoS frameworks
  • Data Center Networking protocols – STP, HSRP, MLAG, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN
  • Ability to apply process management principles and structure to network based projects
  • Ability to manage multiple project activities simultaneously to short timescales
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in supporting network environments across multiple vendor technologies. Experience with Aruba, Arista, and Cumulus is a plus  
  • Strong understanding of campus switching, routing, and network protocols
  • Strong understanding of Linux, virtualization, scripting, and a sense for automation in constructing sustainable network procedures
  • Fundamental understanding of basic scripting concepts as it pertains to Network Development and Automation (such as Ansible)
  • Familiarity with working in an Agile prod structure in a DevOps model
  • Previous experience in working with SD-WAN technologies such as VeloCloud and AT&T Flexware.
  • Previous financial services experience in Consumer and/or Commercial banking
  • Previous experience in team lead, lead technical engineer, or other technical supervisory capacities to provide technical leadership to the team.

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline with 8+ years of network service delivery (Data, Voice and Cyber Security) experience
