The Role:

We are seeking a senior-level Backend Developer who is an expert in event-driven architecture and AWS. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, a hard worker, has a knack for creative problem-solving, and is a low-ego team player. You will join Nacelle’s core development team to develop and build new features for our backend systems. You will work directly with a team of talented engineers who share your passion for serverless architecture, low latency solutions, and superior user experiences.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create new features and maintain our core services
  • Write and maintain automated tests, the backbone of our quality assurance philosophy
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure standards of qualify and observability are met
  • Collaborate with developer relation engineers to maintain the highest customer satisfaction
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies to ensure proper workload and alignment

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of node.js experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced venture-backed startup SaaS environment
  • Comfortable in a scrum-based agile environment
  • Strong understanding of software patterns and data structures
  • Experience with event-driven microservices and GraphQL

Nice to Have:

  • Developed production-grade data pipelines using Kafka
  • Familiar with key DevOps principles such as infrastructure as code
  • Exposure to a high-performance continuous delivery pipeline
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as DataDog
