The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.
The Digital Release Management team plans and manages Digital release deployment implementation events consisting of approximately ten major release events each year and numerous smaller events on a weekly basis.
Role Definition: Project Associate- Release Management
The Project Associate will be responsible for coordinating and leading the production deployment of software applications for scheduled and emergency release events for all critical JPMC Digital products.
The Project Associate will coordinate across management, Development, Operations, Quality Assurance, DevOPS, technical operations, production operations, business, and project management staff in order to create and manage detailed deployment implementation plans, outage schedules, and associated release event deliverables.
The Project Associate will identify, track, report against deployment milestones, will identify issues or points of integration between multiple deployment events, and will manage the issues to closure.
The Project Associate must be willing to support release deployment events during weekend and/or overnight hours.
Manage release event activities across multiple projects for the Digital line of business.
Coordinate with multiple teams and projects to determine the critical path of tasks within a release deployment (risks, dependencies, issue resolution, etc.). Be able to lead and work with people in both technical and business areas, and across multiple functional areas and LOBs.
Create detailed release deployment implementation plans for various types of release events.
Lead deployment release events: tracking tasks, providing status reports to the management team/stakeholders.
Conduct peer reviews of deployment implementation plans.
Conduct Release Readiness reviews and Go/No-Go Reviews
Create change records to document all production events.
Work to improve Release Management processes and documentation.
Work during the weekends for leading & driving the release events with-in Digital.
8+ years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on Technology Project Management.
College degree or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated project management, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Experience in large, complex, fast paced environment with multiple technologies. Experience in Financial Services a plus.
Clear verbal communication skills to lead deployment events on group bridge conference calls.
Strong written communication skills to all levels of an organization including senior mgmt, with a client focused mindset. Proven ability to influence others.
Experience working with US teams.
Highly organized, with ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively and handle multiple issues concurrently.
Proficiency in using and updating JIRA, Service NOW, Confluence, and/or SharePoint.
ITIL certification would be a plus.
