Junior Developer

Here at Passle, we are looking for someone  to join us as a Junior Developer in our Development team. The role is an exciting opportunity to get experience in a fast growing technology business. You’ll have the opportunity to get to know our product intimately and play a key role in the development of it. 

What is Passle?

An Enterprise SaaS company, Passle is an Expert-to-Expert Sales and Marketing Platform which puts the knowledgeable experts within a company at the heart of the sales and marketing process. Passle enables its users to easily create thought leadership content (in the form of blog-style posts), giving the experts within the client’s firm a voice to share their knowledge online. These posts are published onto their firm’s website where they can be shared seamlessly across social networks, emailed to key contacts and even compiled into newsletters. Not only does it make it easy for them to produce content but ultimately helps them build the relationships that drive growth in the business.

What does the role involve and what could you be doing?

As a frontend software developer you will be working closely with a small team developing and maintaining our different platforms within an agile environment. In every agile cycle you will be assigned certain tickets which you will be responsible for developing with any help or support needed. Once you consider your code ready, it will be reviewed by a more senior member of the team which will bring you the opportunity to improve your coding and stick to best practices. 

You will be working closely with HTML, Less, Sass, Javascript, Typescript, JQuery and Angular while working on the frontend side of our platforms and C#, .NET Framework and Mongo Database while working on the backend.  

What skills do you need?

We’ll teach you how to do the job, so it’s important that you come with some knowledge through studying software engineering and development and perhaps some work experience and/or personal projects too. Here are some things that we’ll be looking for evidence of:

  • Relevant degree qualification 
  • Hunger to learn and willingness to work hard
  • Self-starter attitude
  • Detail orientated and able to work to deadlines  
  • Team player
  • A problem-solver who thinks outside the box
  • Enjoy learning new technologies
  • Have strong front end skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery)

What other skills are not required but desirable?

  • Experience with modern Javascript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue...)
  • Experience with non-relational database skills
  • Experience with C#, .NET Core/Standard/Framework, WebAPI, MVC
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Experience with any version control system such a Git

What about COVID-19?

Passle has been fully remote since March 2020 and you will be fully onboarded remotely. We have an office in Oxford where our Development team is based and you would be welcome to work here as well as remotely.
