About Us is an online nursing education supplement founded in 2015. In 2017 we launched our e-learning subscription platform for nursing students and have seen rapid growth year over year.

What Youll Do

We are seeking a user focused engineering leader with experience in e-learning, SaaS, and consumer facing subscription services.

You will lead our small but growing engineering team:

  • Be a high performing individual contributor. While the below mention a lot of the team leadership responsibilities, we run a fairly flat organization. first and foremost you will be an individual contributor that leads the engineering team by example.
  • Own the Engineering Roadmap - work with the Product Manager to understand the company priorities of product releases.
  • Develop and maintain the engineering roadmap to ensure that there is clear definition of how all team work will accomplish product goals
  • Work with the team to make sure all efforts integrate into a successful unified product
  • Oversee implementation and access to all necessary engineering systems so that the team has everything they need to succeed.
  • Maintain code base - make sure all PRs are following team standards, testing protocols, and release procedures
  • Facilitate and run team meetings in a concise manner - ensuring all members are prepared and all meetings result in high output discussions where all voices are heard
  • Act as the voice for the engineering department in company meetings by reporting on metrics and initiatives
  • This position will be a main member of the product team and must speak up as to what is feasible for product plans and help with implementation planning
  • Own new releases. As each new feature, bug, or hot fix is approved, this position will have the actual responsibility of pushing the code live and following up on ensuring all is working to accomplish desired goals.

  • Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 DOE
  • This position is based in Portland, OR. Remote work until June 2021 - relocation provided.
  • Will not entertain fully remote.
