Software Development Manager- PHP- £65K Your new companyA fantastic innovative Birmingham based FinTech company is continuing their journey of growth and diversification. To continue developing on their exciting journey they are looking for a talented PHP Development Manager to join their evolving development team. The role will allow you to work with individuals across the company in a dynamic and well-funded financial service start up. The organisation is a small (though rapidly growing), nimble, non-bureaucratic and very flat in structure.Your new roleThis company are looking for a friendly, team player who is approachable and adaptable in their approach. You will be working on several interesting projects in the FinTech industry using the PHP LAMP Stack. The right candidate will have excellent knowledge of the LAMP stack and be passionate about modern software engineering best practice. Knowledge of OO PHP and MVC and experience working with the Laravel framework (or similar) You will be proficient in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery.Are you passionate about working in a start-up environment? Do you have excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and question information received? Are you a great communicator and able to to communicate within all levels of a business.What you'll need to succeedYou must be have the ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting deadlines, whilst demonstrating the ability to be a strong problem solver with a passion for using the latest technologies.Have knowledge of relational databases and previous experience developing RESTful web services and both client / server-side components.You will have had experience with Version Control – Git, SVN, Mercurial and familiarity working with Agile methodologies.Knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with cloud hosting, such as AWS.
