Currently, we are looking for a Software Engineer (PHP) to join the Search Experience team in Kaunas. In Search Experience, you will mostly work on the search results page - the most visible part of HomeToGo. We serve millions of users daily and, as people say, we only have seconds to make the first impression, thus it’s crucial for us to have the best user experience and we need your help to achieve this goal. Your daily routine will be related to solving challenges with core-search functionality and fetching offers, locations tree, filters, and many other components which help our users to find their best accommodations.

In this role you will

• Collaborate with the team to create and maintain features
• Ensure that your features are well tested
• Solve technical design issues
• Help to maintain a healthy codebase
• Suggest your ideas on how to improve your surroundings

What you will bring

• Experience in writing good code with PHP
• Experience with Symfony (or similar framework), PHPUnit (or alternatives) and Git
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
• At least basic knowledge about Elasticsearch
• Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to ever-changing situations
• Problem solving, decision making and effective communication skills
• Ability to work in a group of highly skilled developers and product owners
• Fluency in English
