The Role...

The Business Process Lead is an experienced professional who creates a platform offering designed to support the digitization/automation of business outcomes across the Production & Operations business.This individual is responsible for leveraging technology to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities, which can enable or alter business processes or practices that, in turn, drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.

Successful candidates must be capable of practically applying existing, new, and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models. Conversely, they must be able to understand, monetize and operationalize new technologies.

This individual is responsible for facilitating the construction of business models, which may include business capabilities, functions and processes and organization design, as well as working collaboratively with business strategists, process owners and subject matter experts.The role focuses on business strategy and targeted business outcomes — clarifying strategic intentions; identifying business outcomes; exploring implications, impacts and risks; and addressing stakeholder questions.

What you will be doing for us…Collaborate with architects/SMEs to select the appropriate technology capabilities and components to form a process automation platform offering that focuses on customer experience (includes service offerings, third-party partnerships, marketing, training, opportunity evaluation, portfolio tracking, and capability offerings).Involves business stakeholders to rethink, simplify and redesign existing processes to ensure employee engagement and effectiveness.Explores and improves how employees engage with each other as well as with customers and business partners.Work with bp’s digital leadership and key organizational stakeholders to define a strategic plan for leveraging the process automation platform through the core business.Highlight how process automation initiatives will potentially impact the organization’s performance metrics.Collaborate with the wider IT organization on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits.Assess near-term needs, using structured interview processes, to establish business priorities.Consult with architects/technical subject matter experts, and contribute to the development of alternative technical solutions.Advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.Facilitate development of cross-functional solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, general technological options, and process facilitation techniques.Develops metrics that allow the organization to gauge the success of its digital workplace investments.Ensures that this data is collected, analyzed, tracked, communicated using performance scorecards, and acted upon.Support business and technology innovation that drives the organization's top and bottom linesEngage key business stakeholders to facilitate both strategy and innovation planning.What you will bring to us…Extensive years of business or IT experience with direct responsibility for strategy formulation and/or translation, business analytics, and program managementRelevant experience in one or more of the following areas: strategic planning, leadership, business relationship management and business process managementExperience with Process Definition and Automation toolsets inc. ARIS, Automation Anywhere, AppianExperience with agile work methodologiesExperience in operationalizing technology offerings designed for both business and IT consumption.Skilled in structured and unstructured corporate communicationPassionate self-motivator that thrives on resultsStrong communicator who can explain complex technical concepts to both IT management and business stakeholders in a consumable fashionAptitude for innovative and original thinking.
