You will use your deep experience and understanding of commodity trading to deliver high quality, value-adding solutions to our world leading LNG trading business. You will have an excellent functional understanding of concepts such as pricing, exposure, P&L, physical scheduling, and accounting.

You will own the analysis and refinement of functional and non-functional requirements from partners across the commodity trading lifecycle using structured business analysis tools, techniques and methodologies. We work in an agile environment and you will be familiar with agile methodologies and know how to apply them at a practical level.

You will be comfortable matrix managing a team of approx. 15 hardworking analysts, developers and engineers as required

Project Delivery:Support full project lifecycle deliveries including delivery and Early Life Support.Co-ordinate dependencies with other IT delivery work streams.Provide quality assurance on analysis through peer review.Deliver clear user communications.Active participation in all aspects of an agile team; sprint planning and retrospectives, estimation sessions.Break down large problems into incremental deliveries with clear benefits.Analysis and Design:Facilitate idea storming and process definition workshops with business partners at all levels based in different locations.Elicit requirements from business partners at all levels including leading requirements and design workshops. Ensure these requirements eliminate ambiguity and duplication.Configure key systems to support these requirements.Produce high quality analysis, including collecting detailed and accurate user stories and acceptance criteria to be used by developers and test automation frameworks.Understand system constraints and opportunities to advise design.Work with design and architecture on design options and potential systems and process solutions.Use tools to handle requirements and traceability.Manage cross-team consensus and acceptance of requirements, ensuring relevant sign-offsUse data analysis techniques including SQL to make informed decisions and validate solutions backed with qualitative and quantitative data.

Relationship and Partner Management:Build strong business intimacy with commercial partnersWork closely with the IT teams in London and India and with our global user community.Work in partnership with Product Owners to prioritise contending demands and acquire partner agreement.A good communicator able to deliver your message efficiently and concisely at various levels including to senior management. Equally comfortable conversing about technical or business issues in either verbal or written form.A self-starter able to pick up new or unfamiliar concepts quickly with little supervision. Domain Knowledge:Thorough understanding of a commodity trading business across Front, Mid and Back office teams in at least one commodity for example LNG, Gas, Power, OilUnderstanding of instrument types (forwards, futures, options, swing, storage etc).Detailed appreciation of key trading and risk concepts such as Value at Risk, P&L, Exposure etc.

Systems Knowledge:Experience of modelling and valuation of sophisticated contracts in an ETRM system (Planlogic EoS, Openlink , Allegro etc)Experience of Design of complex greenfield systems using modern architectural patterns (e.g. micro services)SQL and/or python data analysis skills for problem solving and technical project analysisExperience of modelling and valuation of sophisticated contracts in an ETRM system (Planlogic EoS, Openlink , Allegro etc)Experience of Design of complex greenfield systems using modern architectural patterns (e.g. micro services)SQL and/or python data analysis skills for problem solving and technical project analysis.
